My quest for health began with a dissatisfaction for the ongoing treatments I received from the medical doctors in my life. Several doctors diagnosed me for various conditions who recommended medication and some very uncomfortable tests were used in the process. In the end their treatments were ineffective. I know my story is not isolated because I have met many others who have had similar experiences. I solved much of these symptoms by incorporating new foods with medicinal properties over many years. I look back and see how all the “clues” were there about my bodily health. These clues all pointed to an underlying condition that makes sense within the framework of holistic health.
As I learned of better lifestyle choices and found more knowledge about my own healing, I decided to learn more formally on the subject of Nutrition and healing. I realize now that a lot of strife can be avoided if we are to “see” the underlying condition.
Iridology puts us directly in touch with the requirements of the body, which organs need to be taken care of in healing and where our weaknesses lie. Bernard Jensen called Iridology and Nutrition “The twin guiding stars”, together pointing out what needs to be healed by providing a roadmap.
The eyes will change as therapy is applied. The healer knows within weeks or months if the therapy is working because the marks in the eyes will indicate transformation. Dr. Jensen found that Nutrition was the single most effective therapy for bringing on changes in the body.
Bernard Jensen's prediction was that the doctors and healers of the future will use Iridology and Nutrition in healing. I think he meant that Iridology represents a perspective which is "holistic". It demonstrates that all body functions are interconnected. When the whole body is evaluated from the eyes, a therapy is needed to address all that is seen and without the support of individual nutrients from food, other corrective therapies may not work.
